The detonation of munitions also damaged servicing equipment.
On March 3, the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SOF) reported the destruction of the brand new Russian Malva self-propelled howitzer. Additionally, as a result of the munitions detonation, a vehicle used for servicing the Malva was damaged.
"During aerial reconnaissance, soldiers from one of the Special Operations Forces units discovered the latest 152-mm self-propelled artillery system 2S43 'Malva,' which Russia began producing in 2023, at a concealed parking site. The SOF operators transmitted the target coordinates to a friendly artillery unit and adjusted the fire. As a result of the precise strike, the enemy self-propelled howitzer was destroyed," the SOF said in a statement.
