The Ukrainian military has regained control over a significant part of the city.

The Ukrainian army has dealt a powerful blow to Russian troops in Toretsk, regaining control over key areas in the city center, dialog.ua reports.

This has not only ruined Russia's plans, but has also put the Russian group at risk of encirclement, which could now find itself in a trap.

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Ukrainian forces have advanced to Tolbukhin Street and the Central mine, regaining control over a significant part of the city. Geolocated footage confirms that Ukrainian forces are advancing from both the north and the southeast.

Russian propagandists, who previously claimed full control over Toretsk, now admit that the city remains a "gray zone."

The Rybar Z-channel, which is close to the Russian Defence Ministry, reports that Ukrainian troops are continuing their counteroffensive actions, and their sabotage groups are active in the central districts.

OSINT analysts and military bloggers confirm that Russian forces are at risk of being surrounded.

According to the latest data, the Ukrainian army has managed to cut off the key supply routes of the occupiers, and control over the air allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to effectively destroy the enemy’s rear positions.

The Ukrainian operation in Toretsk has not only changed the situation on the battlefield, but also dealt a serious blow to Russian propaganda.

The Kremlin’s promises of a “complete capture” of the city have been dashed by reality, the Ukrainian forces continue to liberate the occupied territories, demonstrating a high level of training and tactical literacy.
