The Ministry of Labor provided details.
The head of the Ministry of Labor, Natallia Pauliyuchenka, said that in 2025 the department intends to work to ensure that some categories of the population do not need to personally apply for pensions to social services, but that they are assigned automatically. Details are reported in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Labor.
“Proactive pensions are one of the tasks for 2025. We need to be ready to assign them to people with disabilities as early as 2026,” the Ministry of Labor reports and explains what a proactive format is: “This means that a pension is assigned upon the occurrence of a specific life situation.”
The department gives an example:
“For example, a child is declared disabled. Information about this is sent to the pension authority in electronic form from the MREK (Medical Rehabilitation Expert Commission. — Ed.). A social pension is assigned promptly, practically online, based on the data available in information resources. That is, a personal appeal to the pension authorities is not required." Let us recall that several pension changes were introduced in Belarus this year. Among other things, the authorities have abolished the ceiling on the amount of payments for those who continue to work in retirement and simultaneously receive both a salary and a pension. They have also increased the minimum insurance period to 20 years (previously it was 19 years and 6 months).
