On When Ukraine, United States May Sign Mineral Deal

Ukraine has agreed the terms of the agreement with the United States on mining and may sign it as early as Friday, 28 February.

This was reported by a senior Ukrainian official in an interview with the AFP news agency on Tuesday, 25 February, Barron's writes.

‘Now officials are working on the details. We are considering a visit to Washington on Friday to sign the agreement,’ the source said.

According to Bloomberg, Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers will recommend signing the agreement on Wednesday. The White House did not respond to the agency's request.

On 25 February, the Financisl Times reported that Ukraine and the USA had agreed on the terms of the mineral deal and that Kyiv was ready to sign the document.
