During interrogation, he told an interesting story.
Ukrainian soldiers captured an occupier from West Africa. He, along with five other invaders, tried to storm the defenders' positions in one of the directions; the rest of the occupiers were eliminated during the battle.
During interrogation, the prisoner said that he was mobilized into the ranks of the Russian army after he came to study in the Russian city of Saratov. A video with the prisoner was published on the Facebook page of the Joint Rifle Brigade of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The exotic addition to the exchange fund — the capture of a native of West Africa who came to Ukrainian soil to kill Ukrainians — was provided by soldiers from the ranks of the Joint Rifle Brigade and the 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mikhail Ostrogradsky. The defenders repelled the Russian assault on the Ukrainian positions, destroying five Russian attack aircraft. The captured African turned out to be the only occupier from this assault group who managed to survive.
“The prisoner of war said that he was from West Africa and that he came to study in the Russian city of Saratov, from where he was mobilized into the army of invaders. The Ukrainian military provided the prisoner with the necessary medical care, fed and watered him. As a token of gratitude, the African from the Russian army thanked the fighters for saving his life. In the future, the prisoner of war will be dealt with by the appropriate services,” the Ukrainian soldiers said.
They also showed a short video with the captured invader.
