Another type of service for the population is becoming more expensive.
In Belarus, the prices for liquefied gas sold to the population in small cylinders have changed. The price for 1 kg of gas will increase to 1 ruble 62 kopecks (previously - 1.54 rubles). The increase is 5.2%. The resolution of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade provides for this. For comparison: electricity tariffs this year have increased by 11.9%.
This increase concerns the filling of small gas cylinders with a capacity of 1 liter (0.4 kg), 5 liters (2.0 kg), 12 liters (5.0 kg), 27 liters (11.4 kg).
The current resolution does not apply to prices for gas in cylinders with a capacity of 50 liters (21 kg). They were raised from January 1 of this year.
Let us recall that earlier, on January 30, Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree establishing the maximum permissible tariffs for housing and communal services for 2025. This document came into effect retroactively — from January 1.
After that, the government approved the final tariffs for housing and communal services, which will be in effect this year. Electricity has become noticeably more expensive.
As specified in the Council of Ministers, the tariffs for housing and communal services for this year were set based on the calculation that the utility bill for a typical apartment (two-room with three residents, apparently) will increase by 21 rubles, or 0.5 base value.
"Electricity tariffs for the population from January 1, 2025 will increase by 11.9%," the Council of Ministers reported. "For a typical apartment with standard electricity consumption, this will amount to 4 rubles 51 kopecks."
