The latest statements by US President Donald Trump regarding Ukraine
During a press conference on February 18, US President Donald Trump spoke about the need to hold elections in Ukraine. In particular, he claimed that President Volodymyr Zelensky's rating among Ukrainians is only 4%, which directly contradicts the results of official sociological surveys.
In addition, the American president commented on the absence of Ukraine in the negotiations between the US and the aggressor country Russia in Saudi Arabia.
"I heard that Ukraine was not invited. Well, you were there for three years. You should have finished this three years ago. You shouldn't have started this. You could have made a deal. I could have made a deal for Ukraine that would have given them almost all the land, everything, almost all the land. And nobody would have died," Trump said.
Then the US president stated that "Washington gave Ukraine $350 billion aid," but, according to him, "nobody knows where that money went" and noted that Ukraine "will have to pay or deal with" this issue.
At the same time, the Ukrainian government has repeatedly reported on the use of Western aid, and international audit organizations, including American ones, have not found significant violations.
In addition, the American president stated that Russia allegedly has the ability to "very quickly destroy Ukrainian cities 100%, including Kyiv," but allegedly "just doesn't want to do it."
